We are committed to empower women from marginalised communities, so they live their life with dignity & respect. We have promoted the SHGs, Village organization, Federations and producers’ organisations as well.
Our self-help group model is comprising with three tier Institutional architecture (SHGs, Village Organization and Federations. These institutions are starting point and building blocks for our interventions around financial literacy, inclusion, livelihoods, governance, education, nutrition, health, governance etc.
We are working with more than 89203 women organised into 6277 SHGs, 741 Village Organization and 23 SHG Federations and scaling up this model in Mali and Senegal West Africa as well. These institutions have cumulative disbursed the credit of 30 Cr. (4 M USD).
SHG Federations are working on financial inclusion which include affordable credit, savings, insurance, old-age pensions, remittances and payments and financial literacy program. Our microfinance work has resulted the inclusion of more than 80000 unbanked women. Women have gained a sense of dignity, confidence, reduction in distress borrowing and pawning, increased sense of agency and optimism about attaining future financial and well-being goals, improved entrepreneurship and improved participation of women in the family’s decision makings.
