We are happy to announce our partnership with IPE Global has been extended for the Udaan-TaRA (Teach and Raise Adolescents) in district Dholpur for the next year. The project is funded by CIFF (Children Investment Fund Foundation).

Project Title

A 3600 program to reduce teenage pregnancy in Rajasthan

Key objectives of the project 

  1. To improve the Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) as well as to reduce the risky behaviors around Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) among adolescents
  2. To facilitate the sessions on Nutrition, Gender-based Violence, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Substance Misuse, Mental Health, Non-Communicable Disease.
  3. To train the teachers (including all female teachers) of 585 Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools on adolescent health curriculum in consultation with the Education Dept of Dholpur.
  4. To provide handholding support to the trained teachers during the live sessions in schools through session observation and

 

Target geography of the project

The project will be implemented in 585 Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools of 6 blocks of Dholpur district of Rajasthan

Project Duration 

The project has been implemented for last 4 years. Last year, the project was in the pilot phase and implemented in 66 Govt. Senior Secondary Schools of Block Bari of District Dholpur. The impact of the project was clearly visible in the behavior, body language and the level of participation of adolescents during the sessions as well as during the school, so now the District Administration has taken up the initiative with IPE Global and the project has been extended to 585 Govt. schools of 6 Blocks of the Dholpur for one more year i.e., till March 2021. The project will be directly impacting the lives of over 40000 adolescent girls and boys. The project objectives are aligned with #SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 5 (Gender Equality), 10 (Reduce Inequality) and 17 (Partnerships to achieve the goal). The project is aligned with the District Education Department, RKSK (Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakrm) and ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ initiative of the Central Govt.
