The title “STRONG STRONGER STRONGEST” represents a transition. Strong is the person who shows courage in situations which are not favourable and reacts accordingly. Once a person develops an attitude to face hardships in life the stronger version turns out to a strongest version.

The title well defines the case of Meena who migrated to India with her parents 17 years ago. Meena, age 19, is a resident of Bheel Basti village of Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. She is one of the 7 children of parents. Her father is a labour who earns wages on daily basis. Her mother as of now is suffering from cancer. The family’s economic condition is a point of concern. Out of seven children 5 are married as of now.

Meena owing to these hardships couldn’t continue her education after clearing 10^th standard exams. Despite all these hardships which she faced since childhood, she has never given up and when the opportunity to pursue her education came on her way, she took no time to proceed. Opportunity came in the form of Second Chance Education Program implemented by Manjari Foundation and supported by Pradan and UN Women. It was in September 2019 when Manjari Foundation intervened in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, and post that a series of meetings and counseling resulted into enrolment of several women aspirants who wished to continue her education.

Meena is one of those women and has successfully enrolled in NIOS for 12^th standard exam in December 2019. A series of hardships made Meena stronger and with her actions and positivity, we expect to witness the strongest version of her in future.
