“Koshish” is a Hindi word that means “to try”. It’s the attitude that makes a difference and the attitude of keep trying results into success. It’s a tried and tested concept!! The story of Jyoti Panwar signifies the value of keep trying attitude. Jyoti Panwar, age 29, is a resident of Putholi village in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan. Wife of Mr. Sher Singh Ranawat who is into the driving domain, Jyoti has two children with him, both of whom are studying in school.

Jyoti is a graduate and has even cleared B.Ed. She understands the importance of education and when she got a chance to make a difference in society, she played a pivot role. Manjari Foundation’s intervention in the area made a difference with the implementation of second-chance education program supported by Pradan and UN Women in 2019.

As per this program, educators were recruited to impart training to the aspirants who enrolled under NIOS. She was interviewed in the month of September 2019 and she was selected after the same. She started working as an educator from October 2018 and has been imparting education to the aspirants in 6 villages as well as at Hub.

She earns an amount of INR 6K for the services which she is rendering. Apart from educating the village, she has been involved not only in mobilizing women with the team of Manjari but also has played a very important task of motivating women of the village.

The efforts have resulted into the enrolment of 92 candidates under NIOS. Her efforts have resulted not only in identity creation of her in the village but also paved way to change the fate of several women aspirants. She tried a lot and the village has now been a beneficiary of her contribution.
